COOKS RUN CEDAR was founded by Carl and John Nieminen in 1985. We started
as a custom cutting business and evolved into a cedar products mill. In
1987 we started building log homes and to-date have built over thirty
homes.
The majority of our homes have been custom designed to meet the
individual needs of our customers. Our portfolio includes everything from
hunting cabins to executive mansions. We only build two to three
homes per year, depending on size, and only one home at a time. Because of this,
your project will be our top priority.
Frame built homes with
cedar log siding have become quite popular with our customers over the
paste several years. This offers some advantages for larger size floor
plans. We also offer a wide variety of other cedar sidings and products.
Having our own mill operation gives us the
flexibility to create custom sizes and lengths not available elsewhere. Unlike
many other contractors, we do build year round.
